HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PET DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
The team at Farmers Market would like to extend our support to the Aussie community as we face the Coronavirus pandemic together.
During this difficult time, we know it’s incredibly important for you to look after both yourself and your pets. To help guide you, we’ve put together this list of FAQs.
We would like to take this opportunity to assure you that we will continue to operate during this time. Our products are made from Australian fresh meat and vegetables, and our pet food factories are considered part of Australia’s essential food supply chain.
We are working hard to make sure our retailers have our products in stock at all times. We are also following all recommendations to ensure the health and safety of our employees who have shown incredible dedication during this difficult time.
There are very few cases of pets catching the virus world-wide, so the chance of your dog catching Coronavirus disease is very remote.
There is no evidence of people catching the disease from their pet. There is no need to stop interacting with your pet unless you are unwell.
Having outdoor exercise is a good idea for you and your dog. Just make sure to stay at least 1.5 metres away from others.
Follow the advice from the World Health Organization:
If you are sick, please take extra precautions around your dog. Wash your hands before and after touching your pet, and if possible, isolate yourself away.
